Well with much anticipation we finally got our first home! Above is a picture the old owner sent us. We did not have time to put up Christmas lights since we moved in on December 15
th. The house was built in the 1930's and is a Victorian style. It was built for a local artist who had recently visited Europe and fell in love with the homes there. It was designed by a famous architect who designed the art museum right down the street. Even though the house is pretty old we are only the third set of owners to live here. It has lots of charm and
character, but also needs lots of TLC!! I don't have very many pictures. But I took some before we moved in so I could have some before and
after's. We have enjoyed our first month here and look forward to Spring with lots of
yardwork!!
This is half of the kitchen that was repainted. We are planning on painting the cabinets cream with stain in the beadboard eventually. Below is the dining room window seat.
Above is the living room looking into the office/library. We have filled the bookcase up with all of our books! Below is the view from the living room into the dining room. Left is the front door. We plan of refinishing the wood floors this summer when we don't have to breath the fumes! As for now we are just trying to get unpacked and organized before the baby comes in less than two months!
