Moving and Goodbyes

Well we had a very unexpected move to Utah last month! The owners of the apartments that we were managing called one day and offered Chris an accounting position in Orem. We were very excited because we have really enjoyed working for them for the last year. So we starting the house hunting process right away and it has taken forever!! I forgot to take very many pictures. We had some good family helpers and they loaded up very quickly!!
Hayley's good friend Sage gave her a little going away party. They played fashion show and modeled for us. They made her a fun little scrapbook with a nice letter to her. She misses them a lot!

We also had to go say goodbye to Chris' grandma Grandma Georgia! She is such a neat lady. We will see her still when we visit! Good thing it's only four hours away!

My friends also had a going away lunch. It was nice to say goodbye to everyone that could make it. I really miss them, especially Jenise!! I can't wait to go visit them soon.

Escalante

For our last trip of the summer we were able to go down to Escalante in southern Utah. This is the Issac Riddle cabin that we all stayed in. We were visiting Kristen and Adam (my sister's fiance). His family has a bed and breakfast there and we went to have an engagement party for them.

It is such a beautiful place. With lots of Indian history. This is one of the many pictures on the rocks from many years ago.

We had lots of fun and can't wait to go back in May for the wedding!

Swimming at the River

It was so warm in Escalante compared to Rexburg in late September. We went and enjoyed some lunch at the river in this beautiful gorge. The kids rode down on this raft for hours!

Fishing

It seemed like we drove forever on a bumpy road to find this lake. But it was lots of fun once we got there. It was so pretty there with the fall colors.

It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. Every time someone would put their pole back out they would catch a fish instantly. Even Kristen caught one! They weren't huge but they tasted good!

End Of Summer

Here is Dylan on his first day of preschool. He was pretty excited to ride the bus this year.
Here are the kids and dog enjoying popsicles on one of the last warm days in Rexburg.

While my family was up for Hayley's baptism we were able to go up to Ashton to the family cabin again. Katie (our dog) loves it there. This is Jayme and her husband Brett enjoying the river.

My parents came for one night. We had lots of fun playing badmitton, floating the river and jumping on the trampoline.

Here is video of Brett with Katie in the river. Before this she was scared of the water. It is pretty cold. But once she got used to it she loved it. It was fun to enjoy nature for a couple of days!

Bear World

We finally took the long awaited trip to Bear World. My parents always want to go. It was actually lots of fun. We saw lots of bears up close and personal. None tried to attack our car thank goodness.

Above is grandpa riding in his own caboose. How sad! Below is my mom bouncing in the tiny car.

And the best for last. My dad was tormenting this pot bellied pig. They said it was really old and had arthritis. I thought it was going to attack him. I'm glad we finally went it. We had many good laughs!!

Well it is time to tell the world that BABY #3 is on it's way. I am due March 8th so I am only 9 weeks. But I am really bad at keeping secrets. I have been super sick this time and can't wait for a few more weeks to be done with that part. We are very excited!!

Hayley's Photo Shoot

Chris took a few photos of Hayley in her baptism dress before her baptism. I think he did a really good job and Hayley had fun posing!

Hayley's Baptism

Hayley was able to get baptized last weekend! It was such a beautiful August day. It was so special for her to have lots of family their to support and love her. My dad was able to give a talk and that made it even more special. Overall it was a really nice day. I know I say this a lot but it's crazy how fast they grow up. I am so proud of Hayley and her decision to be baptized!
