Christmas

We got lots of fun presents for Christmas this year. Mine included a new camera. I guess Chris was too busy playing with it to get very many pictures of the kids opening their presents. Here is a picture of Kristen & Adam.

Bobby got to play Santa this year and hand out all of the presents one by one. Here is my mom and grandma bright and early.

Hayley and Dylan were helping/watching dinner be made. Dylan loves to watch me cook. I think maybe he will be a chef when he grows up. Here is my grandma Bonnie and Kierra. We were so happy she could come and spend Christmas dinner with us.

As you can tell we were all exhausted by the end of the day. Chris wanted to pretend to be asleep like the other two. Dylan opening one of his many dinosaurs. He was just a little excited. Can you tell? Overall we had a fun and relaxing Christmas!

Christmas Eve

This year for Christmas Eve we all hung out at my parents house. My cousin Laurie and her family came. All of our siblings were there. We ate lots of yummy appetizer foods.

The kids opened their pajamas. Hayley sang for us of course. We all had a good time together!

December Fun

We had a very busy and fun December. First of all we moved and started decorating for Christmas the day we moved in. Here are a couple of pictures of our tree and fireplace.

We also went to the festival of trees where they had like 10,000 decorated trees. Here is a picture of the Boston Red Sox tree that Chris liked.

We also got tickets to go to the Utah Flash basketball game. Hayley had a friend Christmas party so we just took Dylan. He had lots of fun!

Then my brother Bobby and family came to visit from St. Louis for about 10 days. We went to the Spanish Fork Christmas lights, temple square, and the dinosaur museum of course. We also did lots of eating at all of the best restaurants that they don't have out there. Luckily I haven't gained too much baby weight this time! Sorry I don't really take pictures of me when I am pregnant. At least I try to avoid them!

Haering Christmas Party

My grandma Haering had most of the grandkids that live close by get together and have a Christmas celebration. She told us a story, and got the great grandkids fun presents. We had lots of yummy desserts. It was fun to see most of my cousins. Below is the great grandkids singing for us. It is funny to see the new generation performing like we used to do.

Here is Hayley singing her solo of Frosty the Snowman. I think she was a little nervous because she was hiding behind her paper.

Our New Kitty & Gingerbread House

We decided to get a new kitten as an early present from Santa. We got her that same day we were making our gingerbread house. So originally her name was Ginger but it didn't really firt her. So since she is black and sneezes all the time we all decided on Pepper to be her name. Chris really wants a dog but with the baby coming soon there is no way we could have a puppy too. Cats are much easier!! She has been a fun addition to our new home! Below is here in her favorite place right in front of the fire. Chris has a fire almost every night in our new fireplace.

This was the cat stuck in the Christmas tree. Almost at the very top. So the tree had to come down the day after Christmas this year.

Our First Home

Well with much anticipation we finally got our first home! Above is a picture the old owner sent us. We did not have time to put up Christmas lights since we moved in on December 15th. The house was built in the 1930's and is a Victorian style. It was built for a local artist who had recently visited Europe and fell in love with the homes there. It was designed by a famous architect who designed the art museum right down the street. Even though the house is pretty old we are only the third set of owners to live here. It has lots of charm and character, but also needs lots of TLC!! I don't have very many pictures. But I took some before we moved in so I could have some before and after's. We have enjoyed our first month here and look forward to Spring with lots of yardwork!!

This is half of the kitchen that was repainted. We are planning on painting the cabinets cream with stain in the beadboard eventually. Below is the dining room window seat.

Above is the living room looking into the office/library. We have filled the bookcase up with all of our books! Below is the view from the living room into the dining room. Left is the front door. We plan of refinishing the wood floors this summer when we don't have to breath the fumes! As for now we are just trying to get unpacked and organized before the baby comes in less than two months!

Thanksgiving 2009

We decided to stay in Utah for Thanksgiving this year. We were busy with buying our first home. We got to spend it with my family, my grandma Bonnie and with Jill and Andy. It was nice and relaxing. We ate a lot and had fun visiting with each other.

My grandma got to leave her care center for the first time after her surgery. She had fun telling stories. Below is the girls hard at work. Somehow I am always the potato peeler every year but I don't mind. It is fun to cook all day because it is worth it with all of the yummy food!

Daddy Daughter Night

My parents ward had a daddy daughter night while we were living with them. It was called the Hoe Down Throw Down. They dressed in their country attire, played games and learned the Miley Cyrus dance. They had lots of fun together!

Halloween

This year we celebrated Halloween in Idaho and in Utah. Hayley wanted to be her usual Witch. Here is us with our poses. Chris wasn't too creative with his mask. I was a pregnant mummy and Dylan was a dinosaur. We had lots of fun!
