We went to our first Orem Owlz game the other night. They were playing the I.F. Chuckars whose games we have gone to for years. The first hit I was rooting for the wrong team. Oops I guess I am an Orem fan now. The Owls are actually the farm team for the Angels! As we were sitting there a ball grazed the carseat (that Katelyn was sitting in) and landed in our diaper bag. That was a close one!
We had lots of fun sitting on the grass even though we felt like we were sliding down the hill the whole time! We can't wait to go again. We love baseball!!
For Hayley's birthday we had a pool party with a few of her friends. I made her a cute cupcake daisy cake. They had lots of fun swimming. Can you tell that I have a newborn and forget to take pictures lately?
She got lots of fun presents. Books, goggles, slippers, beads, a Bratz doll, clothes, and much much more. She also got a guitar from her grandmas. It will be fun for her to start learning how to play it now!
Katelyn seems like she is always hungry lately and very interested in the food we eat, so we decided to try some rice cereal. She seemed to like it but couldn't really figure out her tongue so most of it would come back out!
I guess I forgot to take pictures of the festivities this year. Here is Katelyn swimming for her first time in my parents pool. She really liked it except for the wind that kept taking her breath away.
We did fireworks on the 3rd, 4th and the 5th this year. It was a weekend of celebrating! Not a very good pic of us but I take one every year!
I can't believe that Katelyn is already four months old. She is growing good and finally starting to get a little chubby. Her cheeks are deceiving! She has her checkup on Tuesday. So we will find out how much she weighs. She still wakes up a couple of times at night and nurses every two hours during the day. We are starting to introduce the bottle in the evenings when Chris is home. She is a happy easy going baby! She likes to talk a lot and she is so fun to have in our family!
After Daddy leaves for work in the morning she sleeps with me in my bed after I feed her until about 9. We have enjoyed sleeping in this summer! She usually sleeps from 7-11 and I get up and get lots done before she wakes up!
We have had fun growing our garden this summer. We had lots of weeds from a very overgrown backyard to take out first. I forgot to take a pic with them.
We are excited for all of the yummy veggies that we will have to eat soon. It has been good to teach our children that you have to work and put forth effort to get a good end result. I keep telling them it will be worth but they will understand when we actually eat some of it!
