Beach Day

We walked down to the beach twice when we were in California. It was a little windy and about 60 degrees. So much warmer than the 8 degrees and snow at home.
It was a little chilly for Katelyn

Dylan still got soaked and had fun collecting shells

Uncle Bobby and the boys

Crazy Chris boogie boarding. Hayley even got in for a little bit

I got to visit with my old friend Heather from junior high and high school who I haven't seen in like 7 years! We had so much fun on this trip seeing friends and family. Makes me want to move somewhere warmer! But I am also glad to be home! Traveling with a baby is hard work!

Thanksgiving

This year we had Thanksgiving at a beachhouse in Huntington Beach that my parent's rented for the week. All of my siblings and their kids were able to be there. Since we will all be spending Christmas with our inlaws this year it was our early Christmas celebration. Lots of my family still lives in California. We had 27 people over for our Thanksgiving feast. It was lots of fun visiting, eating and playing games!

Dylan trying to pull the sword out with no success
Our kids all got Mouse ears for their souvenier this time.
I let them pick out the ones that they wanted.

We watched the Christmas parade. Below Chip n Dale were pretty funny.
They totally peeled out in their little car!

Us on the Mark Twain Riverboat

The last thing we did was eat at the The Blue Bayou in Pirates and then went on Pirates on more time of course. By then we were exhausted as you can see Dylan below. He didn't even eat his dinner. What a fun time we had a Disneyland with so many wonderful memories! I think we will wait until we don't have a baby to go back next time!

Disneyland Day 2

We spent the second day in California Adventure.

We saw Handy Manny and Playhouse Disney live!

We met Mickey Mouse. Katelyn was loving him! She was grabbing his nose and making high pitched squeals. It was pretty funny!

I love their locked in jail faces

Disneyland Day 1

We had lots of fun at Disney this year right before Thanksgiving! Katelyn couldn't hold still in any pictures because she wanted to get all of the characters! I thought she would have been scared. We are glad we went for 3 days. It was pretty crowded so we were able to do most everything!

It was pretty chilly at night. Katelyn slept good every day. My arms were sore after holding her that much! I love going during the holidays. It's just so much more magical!

BYU Game

For Halloween Chris won four tickets to a BYU basketball game for having the best costume. So we invited my parents to go with us. We had courtside front row seats and had a really good time. It was up in your face basketball. I was actually scared a couple of times when the ball was coming straight for my face. We got to eat dinner before with the president of the school and got snacks at halftime. It was the first time I left Katelyn with a babysitter besides family and it was for 5 hours! She did great! We hope to get some more tickets this season. I guess I am a BYU fan now?!

Halloween Party

Chris' boss had a Halloween party a week before Halloween this year. We had to dress up like monsters. So since we already had our Frankenstein costumes we wore those again. Hayley was vampire and Dylan was a mummy but lost half of his costume on the way there I guess? Katelyn was a kitty kat. We won the contest for best costumes. Well actually tied but who's counting?

I got my hair done at the beauty college and this time they crimped it all. It took over two hours but it looked awesome. The pictures don't do it justice.

This is what Chris wore to work on the Friday before Halloween. He actually got voted best costume and won four tickets to a BYU basketball game! We had lots of fun dressing up this year!

Pumpkins

We went to the local Pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins this year. We went on the hayride and were all frozen! Dylan gave up his hat for Katelyn.
Lots and lots of pumpkins
