August Fun

Well I am trying to catch up from this summer. I can't believe September is over already. It has been nice and hot still so we are enjoying that part for sure. We find zucchini's this size all of the time in our garden. They are crazy! I think they grow overnight!

This is the zucchini that we entered into the Utah County Fair. We won a blue ribbon! We are excited to enter more stuff next year.

Here we are at Swiss Days. It was super hot this year but we had fun listening to the Yodelers!

Can you believe my baby is old enough to sit in a shopping cart? I have only done this a couple of times because she tries to eat the cart (unsuccessfully). So gross!

Dylan graduated from his online preschool program Rusty and Rosey. He had lots of fun and it kept him busy over the summer!
I had to take a picture of Katelyn at one of Chris' co-workers pool parties. She just looks so tiny in this huge chair!

We got to see lots of friends this summer and I usually forget to take pictures. Here are our friends the Mecham's. They came to Utah for a short trip! Below is Hayley and Hallie. They sure miss each other! Here are some friends in Rexburg getting Ice Cream! We had many more adventures in August but I always am taking care of a baby and not taking pictures lately!

Back To School

We have been back to school a few weeks now. Hayley and Dylan are going to a new school this year. It is called Ronald Reagan Academy. It is a charter school her in Springville. Now instead of walking across the street it is about a mile and a half away. Hayley has Mrs. Reeves for 4th grade and Dylan has Ms. Provstgaard for Kindergarten . I think Dylan has a little crush on her. He came home one day and said, "I stare at Ms. Provstgaard!" It was pretty funny. So far they love it there. We are excited for a new school year and the fun it will bring!

Day 1 Alaskan Cruise

It was a very early morning. We left our house at 4:00 am. Dylan was bored at the airport so we tried to see if he could work as carry on luggage. Darn he was too big. He was very excited to go on an airplane. Even though he has been on one before he didn't remember that long ago. Chris' boss took our whole family (except Katelyn who had to be 6 months) on a week long Alaskan Cruise! We had no idea how much fun was in store!

We flew right past Mt. Rainier. It was so pretty. We had to wait awhile at the airport for our bus to take us to the ship.

Here is all of our luggage. It took like 5 hours to finally get it all. Here is Dylan on the back deck. A little too close to the edge. That was the last time we went to that part of the ship with him!

Here is the Seattle skyline. It was so pretty there. Lots of trees and very green. We watched as they untied all of the last ropes and anchors and we finally were moving. It was very exciting!

Day 2 At Sea

Day 2 we were out in the open sea going full speed. The map in red shows our route. It was the roughest day and Chris was sick for most of it! Below is our hallway that we walked down many times to go to our room.

Our room had lots of storage and thanks to Deni and Martin it stayed pretty clean.

The kids did lots and lots of swimming. Since the boat was rocking so much it made the pool into a wave pool.

The kids spent lots of time and had lots of fun in Club H.A.L. They went to cooking classes and below is them performing in the talent show. I would put video but once was good enough for me. Hayley sang her own original song and Dylan counted to 20. woohoo They performed lots of fun songs and skits as a group.

Day 2 First Formal Night

This was our entire group at the first formal night. We had lots of fun dressing up fancy. This was also our first night eating in the dining room. We had a great view right out the back of the boat.

I had to get the baked Alaska of course! Below is our towel creation Sting Ray.
