Fun In the Sun

Chris and I were able to go to California a couple weeks ago to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. It was a ton of fun. The first day we met my sister Kristen at Newport. We enjoyed the sun for awhile and then had lunch in downtown Huntington.

Then we went to an Angel game that night. We had really close seats as you can see. It was Chris' first major league game. We had so much fun. We didn't have any foul balls come our way though. It was a really good game. They were tied and went into extra innings and ended up losing it in the bottom of the 12th. It was nice to have fun while our kids were with grandma in Utah!

Hogle Zoo

So this is when we went to the Hogle Zoo two weeks ago. I am finally going to try and catch up with my blogging. We went to the zoo with my family before Bobby and Kierra left for Missouri. It was fun to see all the animals that we don't have here at our zoo in Idaho. Dylan loves the elephants and the white aligator was pretty cool. I will try to put pictures of our anniversary trip to California soon.

OUCH !!

This morning before church Chris turned around to get Dylan some cereal and Dylan fell of our bench at the table and found the baseboard with his head. . We hurried to the ER and he had to get 11 staples. It was pretty tramatic for all of us. Hayley couldn't handle it so her aunt Amy came and got her and they went and had a tea party to distract her. The doctor came in and said okay we are going to have you wrap him up in this sheet and your gonna have to sit on him. She wasn't kidding. So as three of us were holding him down she started stapling his head back together. I was counting in my head and they just kept on going. After she was done she started counting them but I already knew there were 11. But somehow he is still as happy as can be. He didn't get any pain medication or anything, they just numbed the wound. I will I could have that kind of pain tolerance. I am so not looking forward to next Sunday when we have to go get the staples removed :(

1st Day of School

I can't believe that I have a 2nd grader. Hayley was excited and nervous. She picked out her outfit and her new backpack. It was a little chilly this morning so I had to get her a jacket. You could almost smell fall in the air. It's crazy how fast the summer flies by. I am excited that she gets to ride the bus this year. Last year we lived too close for the bus and too far to walk so I had to take her everyday. Thank heavens for bus drivers!

Wii Won!!

So yesterday they had a celebration in the park the day before school started. They had games, free food and a black hawk helicopter for the kids to check out. Also they had a raffle. Each child ages 6-18 got one ticket and guess what, Hayley won the Grand Prize!! We have been wanting a Wii because my kids like to play it at Grandma's house. I always said I would never have video games in our home. We will have to work out a reward system in order to use it. I am excited for the Wii fit. If any of you don't have the Wii fit I would recommend getting it. It is pretty cool! It gives you an analysis of your BMI and weight. I tells you if you put too much weight on one leg more than the other. It works on balance and aerobics. It gives you a chance to set a goal and I am excited to see if it really works! Good Job to Hayley for winning!
