Moving and Goodbyes

Well we had a very unexpected move to Utah last month! The owners of the apartments that we were managing called one day and offered Chris an accounting position in Orem. We were very excited because we have really enjoyed working for them for the last year. So we starting the house hunting process right away and it has taken forever!! I forgot to take very many pictures. We had some good family helpers and they loaded up very quickly!!
Hayley's good friend Sage gave her a little going away party. They played fashion show and modeled for us. They made her a fun little scrapbook with a nice letter to her. She misses them a lot!

We also had to go say goodbye to Chris' grandma Grandma Georgia! She is such a neat lady. We will see her still when we visit! Good thing it's only four hours away!

My friends also had a going away lunch. It was nice to say goodbye to everyone that could make it. I really miss them, especially Jenise!! I can't wait to go visit them soon.

Escalante

For our last trip of the summer we were able to go down to Escalante in southern Utah. This is the Issac Riddle cabin that we all stayed in. We were visiting Kristen and Adam (my sister's fiance). His family has a bed and breakfast there and we went to have an engagement party for them.

It is such a beautiful place. With lots of Indian history. This is one of the many pictures on the rocks from many years ago.

We had lots of fun and can't wait to go back in May for the wedding!

Swimming at the River

It was so warm in Escalante compared to Rexburg in late September. We went and enjoyed some lunch at the river in this beautiful gorge. The kids rode down on this raft for hours!

Fishing

It seemed like we drove forever on a bumpy road to find this lake. But it was lots of fun once we got there. It was so pretty there with the fall colors.

It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. Every time someone would put their pole back out they would catch a fish instantly. Even Kristen caught one! They weren't huge but they tasted good!

End Of Summer

Here is Dylan on his first day of preschool. He was pretty excited to ride the bus this year.
Here are the kids and dog enjoying popsicles on one of the last warm days in Rexburg.
