FIRST SNOW

Chris likes to joke with me a lot and many times this year he has said that there was snow outside. So when it finally did snow this morning I didn't really believe him until he started putting on his thermals. I think I shed a little tear. I really do not like snow. For some reason Dylan loves it. I couldn't get him to come in. He even brought a snow ball in with him and threw it on the kitchen floor. I do actually think it is pretty in the trees. It feels more like Christmas time now!

Thanksgiving

We had lots of fun in Utah for Thanksgiving. Baby Bryce is getting so big. It was fun to play with him and give him lots of kisses. We hung out at my parents a lot, went to the dinosaur museum of course. We are done taking pictures of that place. This time we watched the 3D movie and Dylan was actually pretty scared. This is my uncle Andy. Him and my Aunt Jill were visiting from Washington.

This is all of us eating. Jayme looks very full. We went around the table and said what each of us is thankful for. I always have to make a joke or else I will cry like my Grandma. I really am grateful for all of our many blessings. Especially my wonderful husband!

After dinner we had a special visitor. Dylan was still scared to sit on Santa's lap. Hayley was shy of course. Overall we had a good trip and it was fun to see everyone. Chris and the guys even went fishing while the girls did their shopping! Now its time to get ready for Christmas and all the parties!

Goin' Steady

Madison High School was putting on Bye Bye Birdie so we decided to take Hayley with us to see it. She thought it was hilarious. They did a really good job. Some parts she really didn't understand and some made her embarrassed but most of the time she had a huge smile on her face. We left Dylan at Grandma's house. It was fun to spend time with Hayley by herself. I think we will be going to more things like this in the future!

Two Weeks Early

So I know I have been a total blog slacker lately. I guess there isn't very much excitement in our lives right now. So after I put the Halloween decorations away (the day after Halloween) our house was looking very plain with just the fall stuff left. It always bugs me how the stores bring out the Christmas stuff so early. It was in Sept. this year by the way. But since we haven't had much room the last couple of years for a nice tree I just couldn't wait any longer. Last year we only put up half of our tree and pushed it against the wall for space to still walk in our livingroom and the year before Dylan was getting into everything so we had a mini one on top of our entertainment center. So last year I finally got a new tree after 9 years! I waited until they were on clearance. So once I got the tree out I had to get the stockings and then the snowmen and so on. It is still a work in progress. But here is a preview! I am so excited for the holidays and the fun celebrations!

Happy Halloween

This year both of the kids were pirates. This is them doing their pirate faces. Dylan kept on saying , aye, aye captain all day. Below is Chris and I dressed up for a Halloween party with our friends the weekend before. I got my hair ratted at the beauty college. It was fun to go all out!

Here are some of Chris' siblings. David was scary as the Joker. Chris decorated our porch. It's kind of fall/halloween combined. He liked his lit up skulls and you can't really see the skeleton hanging but we would talk when people walked by. My parents came up from Utah but I guess we didn't get any pictures with them. We went to a couple trunk or treats and then over to Chris' family's house and ended the night by watching Hocus Pocus. Overall it was a pretty fun Halloween.
